Due to the non-{{Conquest|Ice-type}} {{Conquest|Pokémon}} sliding all over the place, players have to select their movements carefully. Pokémon such as Staravia, Luxray, and Rhyperior actually shine here. Staravia can move freely over the ice, and sending in a Pokémon such as Eevee (direct attack), Litwik (one-tile gap), and Rhyperior (2-tile gap) can allow the player to assault the front lines 3 times in one attack, while the latter gets to sit back and avoid the brunt of the damage.

Unfortunately, due to the arena, some Pokémon, such as the aforementioned Rhyperior, can be a struggle to get from place to place due to the limited movement. There are a few ice tiles that crack and break when stood on, and a couple of moving platforms, though in many cases they offer little of value and act as more of a funnel or hindrance to proper movement in the arena.

Nixtorm (Japanese: フブキの国) is the Ice-type Kingdom in Nintendo DS Pokémon Conquest. Nixstorm is a fun arena that causes the player to use the environment to plan attacks and movement carefully.

Combat[edit | edit source]

Attacking[edit | edit source]

Due to the non-Ice-type Pokémon sliding all over the place, players have to select their movements carefully.
