Spectra (Japanese: ミタマの国) is the Ghost-type Kingdom in Nintendo DS Pokémon Conquest. Spectra is hands-down the single most annoying arena to fight in. Beating out the close second and third arenas, Valora and Illusio. While the other two arenas are tedious to traverse, the reason Spectra beats them out is the moving Misdreavus statues that move at the end of every Turn, wasting a bunch of time and blocking the path of attacks.
On top of the statues being tedious and annoying, purple flames also spawn in and move around. They'll move, even if no Pokémon are anywhere near them, and will inflict Status Conditions on Pokémon. They will intentionally seek out nearby Pokémon, inflicting them with the debilitating Frozen status, Burns, Confusion, Paralysis, Poisoned, and Sleep.
As if the constant interruptions to gameplay weren't bad enough, much of the arena's space is blocked by buildings that serve no purpose or utility. Dead Trees can be found around Spectra and will award an item when destroyed by an attack.

Attacking[edit | edit source]
In Spectra, it's best to burn a turn or two to let the opponents close the gap between you. In some cases, it's also better to funnel all of your Pokémon off to one side, to avoid situations where your Pokémon that can defeat an enemy Pokémon is stuck on the left side of the area, behind a building, while the opponent is on the other side of the building wailing away on your party.
It's advisable as well to stick back, and let the enemies absorb the purple flames, especially during The Legend of Ransei where you're bogged down with 2 borderline useless Normal-types. In that case, it's occasionally better to use a sacrificial Pokémon (Eevee) or Wigglytuff) to intentionally walk into the flames and neutralize them if they get close.
